Shudder Presents: Cursed Films Episode 4 & 5 – The Crow & Twilight Zone: The Movie
Shudder’s new documentary series Cursed Films came to a conclusion this Thursday with two episodes surrounding movies that are notorious more for tragedy than for supernatural cursing. Those films are 1994’s The Crow and 1983’s Twilight Zone: The Movie. As he did with the Poltergeist episode, series creator Jay Cheel interviews people who were on set and worked with actors who died during production of the films. Their stories are harrowing and devastating and make the series a necessity for any horror film fan or cinephile in general. Here’s hoping for a season two.
CBS All Access has announced that their re-imagining of The Twilight Zone has been given a second season order.
The anthology series comes from executive producers Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg, with Peele also acting as the host and narrator. You can find the full announcement below.
The Twilight Zone is coming. And for those who have a CBS All Access pass, they will be able to see producer and host Jordan Peele‘s vision for the anthology series that is rooted in horror and suspense. The series promises to return to what made the original great, and will have a contemporary twist to it.
Now a pair of new trailers have been released for the episodes “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet” starring Adam Scott and “The Comedian” starring Kumail Nanjiani. Check these trailers out below.
We first found out that the Academy Award winning writer and director behind Get Out, Jordan Peele, was producing a new take on The Twilight Zone back in 2017. Since that time we’ve seen a teaser video and a Super Bowl spot, and also found out that Peele himself would be hosting the anthology series.
Now CBS All Access has released an official trailer for the brand new Twilight Zone. On top of that, they’ve also revealed a premiere date for the show. You can find the info and watch the trailer below.
We’ve been pretty eager to see CBS’s relaunch of The Twilight Zone on their streaming service ever since the network announced their plans for one. The addition of Jordan Peele as executive producer only added an extra layer of intrigue. And it seems very appropriate that they would drop the first look during one of the world’s biggest games, tonight’s Super Bowl. Of course, it also helps that they are the network to air it. Check it out here below.
