The brothers are back! It’s scary to think that it’s been more than 2 years since the end of season five of The Venture Bros., but yes it’s been that long. Sure we did get one hour-long special about this time last year, but that’s hardly enough for fans of the show. Fortunately, The Venture Bros. season six starts on Adult Swim on Sunday, January 31st at midnight, which means 8 weeks of the best damn show on TV.
The season starts off where “All This and Gargantua-2” left off, with Doc Venture having inherited his brothers’ business and a sweet new pad in New York City. Now the whole family is getting used to life in a new city as well as dealing with being fabulously rich. Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. The Monarch is trying to rebuild the Guild of Calamitous Intent. There’s been quite a change to the old status quo, which I’m not sure is good or bad for new viewers.
The deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today is called “The Expendables” by nblottie. The design features characters considered “expendable” in their respective properties: a Redshirt from Star Trek; a Stormtrooper from Star Wars; a Henchmen from The Venture Bros., and a member of the Foot Clan from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The shirt went on sale at RIPT today, Monday, March 3, 2014, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.
The t-shirt is available in men’s (through 3XL), women’s, and youth sizes for $10 each. Kids sizes are $10 (Girls, Toddlers, and Onesies); Hoodies for $38 (in Men/Unisex sizes). See images on product page for shirt colors. You can also get the design on coasters for $25; prints 18″³x24″³ for $20 and 24″³x32″³ for $40; headphones for $40; laptop sleeves for $30-$40.
Every year, at this most joyous of seasons, we are blessed with a new take on a holiday classic, courtesy of our good friends at the Venture Bros.. In years’ past we’ve been treated to the cast of the Venture Bros. taking on “Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy,” “Fairytale of New York,” and others, all in hilarious fashion.
This year we get The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend singing their own version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” as only they can.
