If you’ve never seen the “Honest Trailers” series on YouTube, you’re more certainly missing out and should go watch all of them immediately. Just as it sounds, the videos make trailers for movies and TV shows that are brutally honest about said movies and TV shows.
The latest entry covers Martin Scorsese‘s most recent film, the multi-Academy Award nominee The Wolf of Wall Street, with hilarious results.
The video can be seen below. It is fully censored but because the movie is as batshit crazy as it is, the video might STILL be considered NSFW…so just keep that in mind kids.
There’s no doubt that Jonah Hill has put together an impressive resume since we first saw him in movies like I Heart Huckabees, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Grandma’s Boy, and of course, his breakout role in Superbad, and his star continues to grow every day. Because of this, you would think that he would be making a decent chunk of coin with each new significant gig he scores.
His latest role is his biggest thus far, playing Donnie Azoff in Martin Scorsese‘s newest release, The Wolf of Wall Street, but the amount of money he made for the movie might surprise you. In a chat with Howard Stern, Hill revealed that his pay for Wolf was only $60,000. Not exactly a small amount of money to most of us, but considering what top actors are usually paid you’d expect to see a higher number.
So why did Hill take such a small paycheck for the role? Continue reading to find out, and to listen to the full interview.
When you think of special effects, you think of huge blockbuster movies like Marvel’s superhero lineup, Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, and J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek and the Star Wars franchise he’s now working on, just to name a few. One movie you wouldn’t think of, however, is Martin Scorsese‘s multi-Oscar-nominated The Wolf of Wall Street.
But the truth is—for better or for worse—we live in a digital world, and filmmaking is constantly evolving. So, naturally, it only makes sense that any and all movies that can afford to use some of the insane digital effects tricks we can pull off these days will do just that, including the big awards contenders. It’s actually a little scary how much effects wizards can manipulate these days.

Everyone enjoys a good mashup, and today brings a pair of very interesting ones for you to take a peek at while news is slow.
Both of the mashups involve the trailer for the latest Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio film, The Wolf of Wall Street. The first mashes the audio and music of the Wolf trailer with clips from Pixar’s The Incredibles. The second uses audio from the Disney not-so-classic 1994 flick Blank Check, and mashes it with the music and style of the Wolf trailer.
