Linda Hamilton Returning As Sarah Connor For New ‘Terminator’ Movie

During a private event celebrating the Terminator franchise, The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day director James Cameron announced one of the stars of his two entries in the franchise, Linda Hamilton, will be returning to play Sarah Connor once again. She joins fellow returning star Arnold Schwarzenegger on the cast.

Instead of trying to continue from where other movies in the franchise—2003’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, 2009’s Terminator Salvation, and 2015’s Terminator Genisys—left off, this newest installment is being planned as a direct sequel to Cameron’s Judgment Day. It’s also being developed as the beginning of a new trilogy.

Tim Miller Addresses Rumors About His Exit From ‘Deadpool 2’

When news that Tim Miller wouldn’t be returning to direct Deadpool 2, rumors of him wanting a bigger budget that focused more on the action started to emerge. Soon enough, the filmmaker became the target of vitriol and anger. Lately, Ryan Reynolds, who plays the title character, tried to squash some of those rumors by saying that the two had no animosity and any arguments being reported were just hearsay. But Miller has stayed quiet for the most part. Until now.

‘Deadpool 2’: Ryan Reynolds On The Sequel’s Tone and Tim Miller’s Departure

The X-Men film franchise may look bleak now, but that hasn’t stopped Fox from moving forward with its lucrative Marvel titles. Rumor is that they are prepping to shoot New Mutants as early as next year in Montreal, where they previously shot X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse. There’s also the release of Logan, which apparently got rave reviews today when the studio screened the first act of the film to a select group of journalists. Fans can also rest easy knowing that Deadpool 2 is finally moving forward now that the Tim Miller controversy is behind them.

We know that David Leitch (co-director of John Wick) will helm the sequel, and it seems that Ryan Reynolds, who plays the title character, couldn’t be more excited that the filmmaker is behind the lens. Check out what he had to say below.

Sony Hires ‘Deadpool’ Director Tim Miller To Develop ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Movie

A little over a week ago came the surprising news that Deadpool director Tim Miller was walking away from Deadpool 2. That was followed just a few days ago with details on why the split happened.

Now comes word that Miller has quickly found something new to work on. It’s being reported that Sony has hired Miller to develop the live-action/CGI hybrid movie adaptation of the hit video game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. We first heard about the project when it was announced back in 2014.

‘Deadpool 2’ Could Be Directed By ‘John Wick’s David Leitch

The search is on to find a director for Deadpool 2 after Tim Miller left the project over creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds. With production set to begin in 2017 for an unknown release date, Reynolds and Fox are looking for a director who can share their vision for a film that focuses more on the comedy, which is what made the first film so great. Now there is word that John Wick director David Leitch is being considered to direct the sequel. More on the story below.
