Paramount Pictures has just released a new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows. The film brings back the Turtles Leonardo (Pete Ploszek and Johnny Knoxville), Raphael (Alan Ritchson), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), and Donatello (Jeremy Howard), who must once more fight against Shredder and the Foot Clan, who are now supported by an arsenal of new deadly mutants. Megan Fox also returns to reprise her role as April O’Neill, and she will be joined by Stephen Amell, who plays Casey Jones, a man who allies himself with the Turtles.
This year marked the 50th Super Bowl game, and while the lead-up to this event wasn’t as exciting as last year (which, amongst other things, saw the epic charity face-off between Chris Pratt and Chris Evans, aka Star-Lord and Captain America), there was, as usual, plenty of interesting and highly anticipated Super Bowl commercials that pertained to movies and television that were aired during the Big Game as well as during the pre-Game, Halftime, and post-Game shows that we covered throughout Sunday evening.
But, there’s still a lot more ad offerings that we didn’t get to post from Super Bowl 50 — which saw the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos go up against Carolina Panthers (the team Michael Oher, whose life was depicted in The Blind Side, plays for) in Santa Clara, CA, at Levi’s Stadium, which the home of the San Francisco 49ers. The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot had a very polarizing effect on its fans, but it was enough of a box office smash to lend itself to have a sequel. Following the release of the first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out Of The Shadows comes a brand new TV spot, which features all sorts of new footage and a few more details on the plot of the upcoming film.
Stephen Amell, title star of The CW’s Arrow, has been cast as Casey Jones in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 movie. Amell screen tested against a handful of other contenders, but was chosen because of the chemistry with Megan Fox, who will reprise her April O’Neill role. Will Arnett is also set to return.
This will be the first major film role for Amell, whose acting credits are mainly in television series and movies.
