Not much has been heard or seen about the remake of Total Recall directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld) with Colin Farrell in the role Arnold Schwarzenegger played in the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed sci-fi action smash since it went into production last year, outside of a few promotional and behind-the-scenes photos and a presentation at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. With the movie scheduled for release later this summer, the lack of even a teaser trailer or poster is troubling for the latest cinematic adaptation of Philip K. Dick‘s short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.”

There’s nothing quite like listening to a hulking, deep-voiced Austrian narrate a DVD commentary. If you’ve never heard the magnificent audio commentary by future former governor of Cully-Fornia Arnold Schwarzenegger and mad genius Dutch filmmaker Paul Verhoeven on their 1990 blockbuster collaboration Total Recall, then you have no idea what you are missing.

In what can be considered to be quite the ambitious project, SEE Games has announced that they have partnered with Chinese online gaming company ZQGame to create a new MMO based on Columbia Pictures’ upcoming Total Recall remake starring Colin Farrell.

Th ambitious part comes in the promise that the MMO (massively multiplayer online) game will be free-to-play, and that it will be made on a specially designed engine allowing for a full-on 3D browser-based experience that’s able to present console-level graphics, characters, and environments with NO need for a client download.

The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a Total Recall-themed shirt called “Mars Terraforming” by artist Captain RibMan.

The sale began at Teefury today, Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

I have not seen the movie Total Recall for quite some time now. But from what I remember it was a fun and campy cci-fi movie from 1990. This being said, there is a new four-part comic book miniseries out that is simply titled Total Recall.

In issue #3, we find Quaid and Melina are trying to deal with the current situations with the colonies on Mars, for both the humans and the Mutants, and what is really going on in the government. We also discover that they are having to deal with tragedy, and on top of that some old enemies from the past are reappearing. It is up to Quaid to figure out what is truly going on and discover what secrets Mars holds.
