When it comes to casting news for the The Fast and The Furious franchise, don’t expect to hear any reports from the trades. Usually, this information comes right from the stars of the film themselves. Like Vin Diesel, who has been there for almost the entire franchise. The actor took to social media today to announce that Oscar-winning actresses Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren will be back to reprise their roles. More on the report here below.

It seems like conflicts among the Fast and the Furious cast are a recurring nightmare for the franchise. At first, it was between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. While neither of them called each other out publicly, they made vague social media posts indicating who was the target of their discontent. Even when the issue was resolved, most thought it was some sort of elaborate marketing scheme to get people to buy more movie tickets for Fate of the Furious.

But now that it is all behind them, and with an obvious new chapter in the franchise on the way, plus a spinoff, most would think that these conflicts would have come to an end. However, it appears that it is far from over. Now a new one from Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the series, is threatening to leave the franchise entirely if Dwayne Johnson continues to be involved with it. More on the story below.

The Fast and Furious franchise isn’t what it used to be. While that may not be so bad, it is always looking for new and inventive ways to outdo themselves. Sure these films are mocked and ridiculed, but honestly, they never not live up to the epic spectacle that is a Transformers film. They’re full of explosions, sweeping shots, and have a grand scale to them. So even though this may be Bay’s final film in the franchise, the director will make sure that it will be on his terms.
