We recently posted an article here covering the major tie-ins to Marvel’s upcoming summer event simply titled Marvel vs. X-Men. Just when we thought Marvel had given all of the titles to expect they release cover art for yet another title: Uncanny X-Men #11!

This cover art, featuring the Avengers vs. X-Men banner, hints at a brawl between Red Hulk and Colossus, which could be pretty entertaining. Uncanny X-Men currently comes to us from the creative team of Kieron Gillen and Greg Land.

Often Marvel Comics loves to tease us with just cover art or images for upcoming new comics or new story arcs in existing comics. November seems to be a huge month for the House of Ideas, so they’ve been sending a bevy of cover art images to us again with no description, just the image. There are of course new story arcs, particularly in Thor, but there are also some new interesting looking limited books most particularly a new Magneto book and a new Doctor Doom series. There’s also an Uncanny X-Men number #1 and a new Thor limited series to watch for.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a little tired of only hearing about DC after the last week and a half, so Marvel has seen fit to release a bit of news themselves. Unfortunately, it’s not necessarily the kind of news I want to hear.

On Thursday, Marvel revealed that they would be ending one of their flagship titles when Uncanny X-Men comes to an end in October with issue #544. The issue will be written by Kieron Gillen with art by Greg Land and will tie into whatever happens in the upcoming X-Men: Schism event.

The solicitation for the issue reads like this…

So Marvel’s big Summer event Fear Itself is underway and it’s blowing up all over the Marvel Universe. We’ve got early looks at some of the biggest issues this Summer.

It all starts in May when Fear Itself #2 of 7 hits store shelves. Award-winning writer Matt Fraction and artist Stuart Immonen continue the mystery of who the Worthy are. Seven hammers have fallen to Earth each capable of seemingly endless power. The race is on to see who the Worthy will be and without the Asgardians who have left Earth, will the Avengers be able to save the day? In July Fear Itself hits the shores of Utopia in Uncanny X-Men #540 & #541. Writer Kieron Gillen and artist Greg Land bring fear to the unsteady balance between humans and mutant-kind.
