Academy Award winning Les Miserables and Interstellar star Anne Hathaway has signed on to star in Colossal.

In the movie, Hathaway will play a character named Gloria who’s dealing with one of life’s many rough spots after losing her job and her fiancé, leading her to run away from her life in New York and head back to where she grew up. But when she sees a news report of a massive lizard monster destroying Tokyo in Japan, she realizes that she’s connected to the disaster through the power of her mind, and that she needs to figure why and how she’s having such a major impact on the fate of the world.

If gamers were ever to be recruited to fight for their country during wartime, the place they would likely be most useful is as drone pilots, which involves controlling a device capable of great damage and destruction from a remote location.

In the upcoming movie Good Kill, a former fighter pilot (Ethan Hawke) becomes a drone pilot, where he fights Taliban from a distance. The movie also stars Bruce Greenwood, Jake Abel, January Jones, and Zoe Kravitz, and is directed by Andrew Niccol.

The Hurt Locker was named Best Picture at the most recent Academy Awards ceremony, and though many might not think it deserved the title (including Kyle Broflovski, of course), it didn’t stop thousands and thousands from downloading it online. It also didn’t help that the movie was leaked months before its release here in the States.

Now Voltage Pictures is ready to start taking some action. The company has enlisted the services of U.S. Copyright Group, a firm who handles these types of issues and is already waist-deep in thousands of lawsuits for the illegal downloading of other films. The lawsuit regarding The Hurt Locker is expected to begin this week, with “tens of thousands of people” expected to find themselves facing legal hot water.
