It’s the year that cute little cuddly bears help us find the one missing piece we have in our lives during these dark and dreary times. Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Christopher Robin, their live-action take on Winnie the Pooh.

But instead of making just another live-action adaptation of their animated classic, the studio will put a timeless/Hook spin on the property by aging the title character. In the film, Robin is weighed down by the responsibilities of being an adult with a family to provide for and a thankless job, leading to him being reunited with his childhood toy. Wreck-It Ralph 2 image

We haven’t seen much from Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 since the first teaser image was released a few months back, but we knew that Ralph would be hitting the Internet superhighway. At least that’s based on the parody websites that we saw in the background of that teaser image. But now we are getting to know a little bit more about the film and how a coin-op arcade character will adapt to a cyber world full of “which princess are you?” quizzes, gifs, and online shopping. As if winning a good guy medal wasn’t already hard enough for a bad guy. See below for more on what we learned about the film on Friday at this year’s D23 Expo.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 image

When it was announced that Disney would be releasing Wreck-It Ralph 2, fans really got excited. The title character (voiced by John C. Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) would be returning for an all new arcade adventure that would be set on the Internet.

But sometimes sequel titles can be as simple as adding a number after the title or just adding a subtitle. But not for Disney, who had their presentation at CinemaCon2017 last night. They revealed a few of their titles to theater owners, including a new title for Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. More on the story below.

Disney In Depth Banner

Maps of the Disney Parks
Hardcover
Text By Kevin and Susan Neary
Maps Curated by Vanessa Hunt
Publisher: Disney Editions
Release date: October 18, 2016

How would we live without maps? They give us direction and purpose. Some lead us down new paths. Others familiarize us with common settings. The park maps we snatch upon entering any of the Disney theme parks accomplish just this. Even more, the meta atmosphere of Disney often means there are maps within maps. Thankfully a new book from Disney Editions titled Maps of the Disney Parks compiles both the dated and novel park maps, as well as maps featured within the park settings.

Duo Kevin and Susan Neary, along with Disney Imagineer Vanessa Hunt, have produced a wonderful publication of lush visuals galore that should nicely complement your edition of Hunt’s Poster Art of the Disney Parks.
