It’s been a couple of years now, but it feels like developer IO Interactive’s latest Hitman just came out. Probably because it was, for the first time in the frachise’s long history, released in episodes over a number of months. This is a great thing for fans of the series, as the wait for Hitman 2 was much less painful than a lot of waits for a game sequel can be.
Hitman 2—which drops the episodic format and opts for the more traditional main game with post-release DLC—was released to the masses this week, giving fans a new set of targets to pursue as the deadly Agent 47. You can read more about the new game and watch a pair of launch trailers below.
A new video has been released for the upcoming Hitman 2 which is titled “Untouchable.”
The video offers small peeks at the various locations you’ll find in the game. This includes New Zealand, Miami, Colombia, India, Austria, a mysterious location in the North Atlantic called the Isle of Sgà il, and a place called Whittleton Creek which they first identified as being Vermont but have since changed for some reason.
You can find more information on the locations and check out the video below.
The first Elusive Target for the upcoming Hitman 2 has been revealed, and it is none other than Sean Bean, star of The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and much more.
The mission, which will be called “The Undying” and will arrive shortly after the game’s launch, features Bean as a former MI5 agent turned assassin. You can find much more info on the announcement and watch a live-action reveal video starring Bean below.
A new gameplay video for Hitman 2 has been released by developer IO Interactive and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The video looks at some of the tools Agent 47 can use to complete his missions in the new game.
The video is the third in a series of “How to Hitman” videos. Click on over to the other side for the video along with more information on the game, the previous two videos in the series, and a trailer for the Columbia location.
A new gameplay demo for the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, titled Middle-earth: Shadow of War, was presented at E3 2017. It’s another fun preview of the game, similar to what we’ve seen in previous trailers and gameplay. But one thing stood out, and it alone makes me want the game.
A new character is introduced, an orc named Bruz the Chopper, who sounds an awful lot like Bruce from the 2003 Pixar classic Finding Nemo. The actor who voiced Bruce, Barry Humphries, has only done one video game in his near 60-year career, Kinect Disneyland Adventures, once again voicing his Finding Nemo character. And Humphries is not yet officially listed on the cast. But so far the only actor who is listed is Troy Baker, who returns to voice the main character Talion. Oh, and a semi-related note: Humphries also played the Great Goblin in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
