Now is the time for comic nerds worldwide to rejoice. Valiant Entertainment announced today that they have secured a deal with DMG Entertainment, the Beijing-based global entertainment leader, that will not only enable growth in publishing and licensing, but will also include Valiant Comics television and cinematic releases!
To further elaborate, DMG has made an eight-figure investment into Valiant and has agreed to another nine- figure investment specifically for television and movie production based solely on Valiant’s wide array of superheroes, villains and other characters.

The universe’s most powerful weapon must be brought down! But how can the devastating X-O Manowar be defeated? The time-displaced keeper of the X-O Manowar armor has declared Romania his kingdom, but the world isn’t going to let this invasion happen without a fight. As the Russians plan for a nuclear attack, the world’s most dangerous man, Toyo Harada puts together a ruthless team to take out the armor in Unity #1.
I am exhausted with massive crossover events in comics. Occasionally they deliver on their promises to be a game-changing event with spectacular storytelling, but most often they end up resetting the status quo of all the characters and telling a mediocre story.

X-O Manowar #12 is packed with goodness. Unfortunately, it’s a little on the confusing side. Granted, I haven’t been reading this book, but even with the recap page, I found myself a little lost.
Robert Venditti writes a pretty solid comic. But, as I stated before, I found myself a little lost with this issue. On the plus side, I did enjoy the issue and will now go back and grab the trade and get caught up on the title so that I can have a better understanding as to what’s going on. This issue has75% a lot of reveals in it, which is nice to get so much payoff in one single issue. The writing is good, in fact, really good. I just wish there was a little more recap in the story itself. However, it is packed packed with action, mystery and general great super hero action.
