Directed by Shawn Levy (Real Steel, Netflix’s Stranger Things), Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) as Guy, a bank teller who discovers he is actually an NPC (non-player character) in a popular video game and decides to become the hero of his own story.
Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi, was unremarkable to say the least. Reynolds has gone on to do other things like Deadpool while Waititi is perhaps better known for his directorial efforts, some of which also featured him in starring roles.
And now it looks like the long-awaited reunion between the two is finally happening. But not for a Green Lantern sequel. According to new reports, the two will pair up for Free Guy, a video game based comedy. More info on the project below.
Ready Player One Director: Steven Spielberg

Distributor: Warner Bros.
Release Date: March 29, 2018
Ready Player One is pure madness. Steven Spielberg‘s latest film is an unrelenting barrage of pop culture references that will leave you broken, battered, and barely alive. It may be narratively thin, but the visuals are just so beautiful you won’t even care what’s going on. And as crazy as it sounds, the film manages to have some nice layers to it.
There is also a great underlying message that almost gets lost in the chaos, but somehow, Spielberg is able to bring it all together and give us one spellbinding feature of nostalgia. Check out my full review of the film below.
Warner Bros. is making yet another big push for their dreamy Steven Spielberg film, Ready Player One. Based on the Ernest Cline novel of the same name, the film centers on Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) who has found the Easter eggs hidden by the late OASIS creator James Donovan Halliday (Mark Rylance). Whoever is in possession of the Easter egg will inherit Halliday’s assets, fortunes, and control over the Oasis. So as you can imagine, everyone who plays in the escapist world wants to get their hands on it.
Now a new “Dreamer” trailer goes further in depth in the story, while also offering fans another glimpse of the upcoming film. Check it out below.
Steven Spielberg‘s Ready Player One will hit theaters in a matter of weeks, but for those who got an early look at the film at SXSW, the result was a mixed bag of reactions. Some call it one of Spielberg’s best films to date, while others say it’s being overhyped.
