‘Hugo’ Scribe John Logan Penning ‘Jersey Boys’ Adaptation
  |

As an Oscar nomination likely looms for this scribe of Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, John Logan has seen demand for his work sky rocket.

Variety reveals that the writer (who is behind the upcoming Bond film, Skyfall) has been tapped by GK Films to pen their take on the beloved Broadway hit, Jersey Boys.

The story follows a rock band in the ’60s, and their rise to fame, and their subsequent fall back down. No director has yet been attached to the film, but that won’t likely be the case for much longer, as the Sweeney Todd scribe is an absolutely perfect fit for this project. I have been a huge fan of much of the writer’s work, and this appears to be right up his alley. The story itself doesn’t seem to be breaking much ground, but with a storied run on Broadway, this is definitely a film to keep the keenest of eyes on. What do you think?
