In 2010, it was reported that then 9-year-old Mackenzie Foy was cast in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 as Renesmee Cullen, the half-human/half-vampire daughter of Bella and Edward Cullen. A few months later, photos of Foy from an older modeling job were spread online as if it was from the fifth and final Twilight film, and since then, fans of this mega-popular franchise have been dying for glimpse at the couple’s love child.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, that sneak peek is finally here, as the magazine has revealed the first look at Foy as Renesmee Cullen. While it is the first look, it’s also an obscured one as young Renesmee is shown standing behind her protective parents — Robert Pattinson as the century-old vampire Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as his wife Bella, now a newbie vampire. The image appears to be from an EW photo shoot rather than a still from Breaking Dawn – Part 2. EW debuted the image on their Facebook page (visit their FB page to view the larger version of the photo), but promises to reveal more at their site tomorrow, so I expect we’ll get to see some better shots of Foy in what most likely will be a very popular role for her.
