‘AvX Consequences #1’ Cover Revealed

There’s only one issue left of the epic Avengers vs. X-Men summer event from Marvel Comics and the company is teasing at major shifts in the Marvel Universe based on the outcome of this battle. After the fight is done, there will be a 5-issue weekly limited series from writer Kieron Gillen (Uncanny X-Men) and five of Marvel’s top artists titled AvX Consequences, with AvX Consequences #1 coming out this October. The cover art is here below.

This series promises to tell exactly what the repercussions of Marvel’s two most powerful teams punching it out are and more specifically they will share what will happen to Cyclops.

In AvX #11 the battle begins to come to a head, but the final outcome isn’t certain. With the reveal of the cover to AvX Consequences #1 the finality of that battle is laid out pretty well. Who, if anyone, is dead isn’t obvious but how the fight comes out is. Many would say they never had a question about how the AvX story would end and they might be right. At the same time, not spoiling their own books would be a kind of cool gimmick for Marvel. This comment also comes in the wake of Marvel’s press release regarding Prof. X’s death in AvX #11 before the book even hit the digital stands.

At any rate, the awkwardly titled AvX Consequences #1 hits store shelves and digital on October 10th, and you can pre-order the issue now.
