It appears that director Edgar Wright has chosen his actress for the female lead in the upcoming Marvel flick Ant-Man, and that actress is Evangeline Lilly.

The Canadian actress best known for her role as Kate on LOST has entered into early talks for the role, in which she would join the existing cast of Paul Rudd, who will play Scott Lang, Michael Douglas, who is playing Hank Pym, and Michael Pena, who is set to play an unnamed villain role.

Who Lilly would be playing is not yet known, though speculation points at the possibility of her playing Pym’s daughter and Lang’s love interest, despite that not being a part of the comics. Though early reports make no mention of it, it should be noted that Wasp could also be a possibility.

Lilly has most recently been seen playing Tauriel in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy.
