There’s An Amazing Easter Egg In ‘Wolfenstein: The New Order’ (Video)
  |  @   |

Fair warning: if you plan on playing Wolfenstein: The New Order and want to experience things for yourself, you may not want to know about this Easter Egg. For everyone else, do continue reading!

The new game, developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, was released yesterday, and is getting plenty of positive buzz from fans of the series and fans of first-person shooters alike. For those who aren’t aware, Wolfenstein 3D was the first real first-person shooter, and that’s where the Easter Egg comes into play. During one point in the game, you have the option of entering a “nightmare.” If you do so, you will find yourself right back in the original game’s first level.

Continue below to check out a video of the hidden treat.

I haven’t personally played the game yet so I’m not sure where exactly this is (the beginning of the video should give a solid idea of where to go), but as one of the many whose first first-person shooter experience was with Wolfenstein 3D, it’s an awesomely nostalgic little Easter Egg to include in the game. Made better by the fact that the character you’re controlling is still current/next-gen quality.

Wolfenstein: The New Order can be grabbed now for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.
