Gameplay Trailer For ‘Wolfenstein’ Prequel ‘The Old Blood’ Released

Bethesda Softworks has announced a brand new prequel to their hit action adventure first-person shooter, Wolfenstein: The New Order, developed by MachineGames.

The two-part prequel, which is titled Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, will have you once again playing as B.J. Blazkowicz as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein and visits the city of Wulfburg. It will be released digitally very soon, on May 5th, for $19.99 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

There’s An Amazing Easter Egg In ‘Wolfenstein: The New Order’ (Video)

Fair warning: if you plan on playing Wolfenstein: The New Order and want to experience things for yourself, you may not want to know about this Easter Egg. For everyone else, do continue reading!

The new game, developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, was released yesterday, and is getting plenty of positive buzz from fans of the series and fans of first-person shooters alike. For those who aren’t aware, Wolfenstein 3D was the first real first-person shooter, and that’s where the Easter Egg comes into play. During one point in the game, you have the option of entering a “nightmare.” If you do so, you will find yourself right back in the original game’s first level.

New ‘Wolfenstein: The New Order’ Gameplay Trailer Released

The latest installment in the father of first-person shooters franchise, Wolfenstein, is getting for release on May 20th.

The new game, developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda, is titled Wolfenstein: The New Order, and is set in a 1960s alternate history where the Nazis won World War II using mysterious technology and now rule the planet.

A new gameplay trailer for the game dubbed “Nowhere to Run” has been released, and can be watched below.

Trailer: Bethesda Announces New ‘Wolfenstein’ Game ‘The New Order’

Yet another announcement has been made by Bethesda Softworks after promising to make more noise in 2013.

The first announcement was the reveal of The Evil Within, the new horror game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, which came with a nightmare inducing live-action trailer. Now comes word of another new game the company is publishing, one that will ring familiar to gamers everywhere.

The game is titled Wolfenstein: The New Order, and it’s an action-adventure game developed by MachineGames that will act as a reimagining of the franchise. The original Wolfenstein 3D is considered to be the godfather of first-person shooters.
