‘Shaun Of The Dead’ Easter Egg Found In ‘The Division’ (Video)
  |  @   |

Ubisoft released Tom Clancy’s The Division this week, and agents everywhere have been busy exploring the dark and devastated New York City after a holiday season virus has caused catastrophic damage to the country.

The game world is certainly not a warm and fuzzy happy place to hang out, but the developers made sure to add little things to lighten the mood here and there. Once such thing discovered recently is a nod to Edgar Wright’s 2004 zombie romantic comedy Shaun of the Dead, which starred Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, that anyone who has seen the movie will no doubt appreciate.

If you’re planning to play the game at some point it might be better to skip this and look for it yourself, but for anyone else you can see the Shaun of the Dead Easter Egg in the video below.

In The Division, you’ll come across areas in which you can use Evidence Correlation Holographic Overlay (ECHO), which allows you to recreate something that has happened there in the past using the combined data of surveillance cameras, people’s cell phones, audio recordings, and so on. With this data a 3D holographic image appears, which, along with the audio, gives you crucial information for a mission you’re on, adds to the story, or simply shows you something that happened there.

Most of these ECHOs are not pleasant given the present situation, and some of them are downright heartbreaking to experience knowing that actually happened at one point. But then there are ones like this one that make you chuckle, a smart thing to add to mix things up a bit.

You can find much more on the game right here, and you can grab a copy for the game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One if interested.

I first saw this via an image posted to Reddit, but was able to find a video of it as well. Enjoy!
