‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Season 2 Trailer: It’s A New Adventure
  |  @   |

Netflix has just launched the trailer for Season 2 of their Emmy-Award nominated series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, starring Ellie Kemper as the former bunker dweller, who after being held captive for a number of years, experiences life above ground – in a very hilarious way of course. The naivete of the character was quite endearing, as was the supporting cast of crazy characters. And now we get to see what Kimmy’s life will be like when she gets a job.

Based on the new trailer, which you can watch here below, Kimmy Schmidt is as hilariously innocent as she was in Season 1 — misusing phrases and social media terms, unable to tell a person’s gender, and getting a job at a 24-hour Christmas store. Kimmy’s roommate Titus (Tituss Burgess), landlady Lillian (Carol Kane), and former employer/debutante Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) also return.

What makes this series so adorable and hilarious is the fact that Kimmy is just so clueless yet so strong. She’s going to take on the world even though she’s a couple of years behind on the pop culture scene. Still, I wouldn’t mind seeing a spinoff series about Bunny and Kitty. That theme song about the two furry critters was just so catchy.

All 13 episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 2 will premiere on Friday, April 15, 2016 exclusively on Netflix.

Here’s the official plot synopsis.

Ellie Kemper stars as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York. After living in a cult for fifteen years, Kimmy decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, she’s ready to take on a world she didn’t even think existed anymore. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way.

Created by Tina Fey (30 Rock) and Robert Carlock (30 Rock), who serve as executive producers with Jeff Richmond (30 Rock), Jack Burditt (30 Rock, The Mindy Project) and David Miner (30 Rock, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
