Time for a family picture! The CW has released a first image of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and her cousin Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) in their full red and blues. Clark Kent had been mentioned on the show in Season 1, by… pretty much everybody. Plus, BFF James Olsen (Mechad Brooks) left one Kryptonian for a prettier one. And Kara has been chatting with him online. He made a brief shadow of an appearance in the “Myriad” episode… saving Kara from Reactron then whooshing away.

I’m sure he will be fine. He’s a handsome kid, and is no stranger to television. I’m a bit afraid that people won’t give him a chance, especially with a Henry Cavill shadow hanging over him. However, there’s only word of a family visit, not a regular role. Plus, there’s always room for more superhero shows. Secretly I had been hoping that Ray Harper (Brandon Routh) would be this Earth’s Superman, since we know Supergirl is on a different one than The Flash.

Supergirl Season 2 premieres Monday, October 10th at 8:00pm ET on The CW.
