‘Between Two Ferns’: Zach Galifianakis Grills Hillary Clinton In Hilarious Interview

No matter which side of the political spectrum you are on, it’s always nice to see the U.S. Presidential candidates take a break from all of the seriousness to appear on comedies. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have already been making their late-night talk-show appearances throughout the campaign, but the former stopped by for a visit on Zach Galifianakis‘ Between Two Ferns. This is a pretty significant moment (and by significant moment I mean that for Funny Or Die) as the very informal interview show is finally back after a long hiatus.
Those familiar with the show will recognize the brand of humor that BTF delivers as host Galifianakis is known to ask very awkward and out of date questions. And this interview with Clinton is no different from the rest. Check it out here below.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Galifianakis had on a politician. Two years ago, he interviewed President Barack Obama where they talked about pardoning turkeys, sending Dennis Rodman to North Korea, and what it’s like to be the “last Black” U.S. President. Of course, President Obama took it all in stride, and even offered a few jabs of his own.
Other talents that Galifianakis has interviewed are Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Bradley Cooper, Sean Penn, and many many more. All of which were very funny.
So it comes as no surprise that even with the long hiatus, that this interview with Clinton is just as hilarious as the rest of them. It’s as though Galifianakis hasn’t missed a beat with his blank expressionless face and inability to read Clinton’s face. It’s all in good fun, as the interview had questions like “Are you excited to be the first girl president?” with Clinton not afraid to hit back with a few insults of her own when they take a commercial break to play a Trump campaign ad. Though Clinton’s responses aren’t nearly as funny as Obama’s, the video proves that she has a sense of humor and that she can hold up under pressure.
