Classic Cartoon Streaming Service Boomerang Coming Soon
  |  @   |

Yet another streaming service called Boomerang is on the way, this one catering specifically to children and your own inner child.

The service, from Time Warner, will offer a vast trove of classic cartoons from the libraries of MGM, Warner Brothers, and Hanna-Barbera. That’s over 5,000 titles, including Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, and more.

You can watch a trailer for Boomerang and find more information below.

In addition to offering all of these great old cartoons the streaming service will also have new episodes featuring classic characters, including Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and Scooby-Doo, as well as an update of the late ’60s show Wacky Races which featured Hanna-Barbera characters taking part in car races around the world. There will also be new programs offered, such as a show set in the world of The Wizard of Oz.

The service is expected to launch sometime this spring on Apple and Android mobile platforms and online, with plans to expand to Amazon, Roku, and Apple TV devices in the future.

Some of you may be familiar with the name already. Boomerang is the name of a TV channel also owned by Time Warner which airs a mixture of classic and contemporary programs as well as repeats of some of the shows of Cartoon Network, which is another Time Warner property.

Subscribing to the service will cost you $4.99 per month.
