Jim Henson’s ‘The Dark Crystal’ Returning To Theaters Soon
  |  @   |

Another classic is returning to theaters through Fathom Events. This time it’s The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth director Jim Henson‘s 1982 puppet fantasy feature.

The movie is set to return to theaters for a limited run early next year, with screenings on two different days available. You can find more information on The Dark Crystal‘s return to the big screen below, along with a poster.

INFO:

Another world, another time”¦ in the Age of Wonder. From genius filmmaker Jim Henson comes the fantastical story of The Dark Crystal. Many years ago, the mysterious Dark Crystal was damaged and an age of chaos began, led by the evil race of grotesque birdlike lizards, the Skeksis, who rule with an iron claw. Meanwhile the Gelfling orphan Jen, raised in solitude by a race of peace-loving creatures called the Mystics, embarks on a quest to find the missing shard of the Dark Crystal and restore balance to the universe.

The event will feature a brand-new introduction with Lisa Henson, CEO and President of The Jim Henson Company, who will reflect on the making of the one-of-a-kind film and the legacy of her father, Jim.

The screenings will take place on February 25th and February 28th of next year. Tickets for these shows will go on sale beginning on January 12th. Head on over to Fathom Events to enter your e-mail address for a reminder when they go on sale, if interested.

This should help fans of Henson’s original movie pass the time while we await something new on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the prequel series coming to Netflix that we saw a teaser video for earlier this year.
