Chadwick Boseman, the star of Marvel’s latest hit Black Panther, teamed up with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show to surprise some fans of the movie.

The fans were asked to record messages to Boseman sharing what he and the movie have meant to them, unaware that the actor was standing just a few feet away about to give them a memory they’ll never forget.

The movie is directed by Ryan Coogler, and also stars Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Andy Serkis.

Black Panther has made nearly $422 million at the box office domestically, and over $326 million in foreign markets, giving it a grand total of over $748 million worldwide since its release just two weeks ago.
