Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for The Goldfinch, which is based on author Donna Tartt‘s book of the same name.
The movie comes from Brooklyn and Boy A director John Crowley, and stars Ansel Elgort and Nicole Kidman. You can find a lengthy synopsis for The Goldfinch below, along with the new trailer, a previously released trailer and first-look video for anyone who missed them, and a poster.
20th Century Fox has released its first look at Steven Spielberg‘s adaptation of 1957’s West Side Story. Based on the Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise film of the same name starring Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer, this latest iteration of the beloved musical, which takes inspiration from Romeo and Juliet, pairs Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler as Tony and Maria, respectively. And now we can have an idea of what to expect from the film just by looking at the setting and costume design. Check out the official image here below.
Steven Spielberg‘s West Side Story has found its actress to play Maria opposite Ansel Elgort‘s Tony.
It’s been confirmed that New Jersey high school student Rachel Zegler will be playing the iconic role of Maria, the love interest of Tony, who is a member of a rival street gang. Natalie Wood played Maria in the 1961 original. The film was ahead of its time and one of the few to feature a richly diverse cast that had people of color in lead roles. It was one that helped Rita Moreno, who played Anita in the original and has a role in this new take on the story, to become the iconic figure that she is now.
Obviously with a film like West Side Story, any talent that is brought into the film will need to be able to sing. And before you question whether or not Zegler can sing, I suggest you take a look at the video of her singing a cover of “Shallows” from A Star Is Born. It left me floored. Check out who will be joining Zegler on the cast and the video, below.
Rita Moreno is an icon. The Puerto Rican singer, dancer, and actress is a true legend who broke gender and racial barriers. She has paved the way for future artists to make a name for themselves. The EGOT winner is best known for her role as Anita in West Side Story. In fact, that role helped her win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. And now, she will be coming back, although for a very different role.
New reports confirm that Moreno will star in Steven Spielberg‘s remake of the 1961 musical of the same name. And in a slight twist, she will play a new character that is being designed for the film. More on the report, below.

Edgar Wright‘s Baby Driver can be best described as a musically charged gangster film full of colorful zany characters all looking to make a big score. If Wright could write music – and he probably could – they would look, sound, and feel like this movie.
While recent car chasing heist flicks have been focusing on the big action set-piece spectacle that may look spectacular but lacks spirit and heart, Baby Driver proves that you don’t need to jump out of planes (be it exploding or not) to be hip and cool. You just need a driver, the girl of your dreams, music, and the road to travel to some unknown destination.
