Thanksgiving has come and gone, and Black Friday left us — more or less — free from torrents of blood running red in our streets. As we move beyond the shopping hell that launched the holiday season, we can now focus on what it’s all about — giving people cool stuff. And while Christmas might have other meanings, that isn’t what this article is about. So without further ado, I’d like to list a couple of my personal suggestions to make the holidays substantially more holly jolly — especially if you have a cat… well, only if you have a cat, actually.
Here’s the 2016 Holiday Geek Gift Guide for Cat Lovers…
Valentine’s Day is almost here. Are you still searching for gifts? Do you need a little something extra for your love? Or maybe you want to give your friends and family a little something special?
Well then how about giving a lovely stress-free charitable gift this Valentine’s Day? See below for our list of Last-Minute Charitable Gift Ideas For Valentine’s Day.
The $11 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is called “A Lannister Always”¦” by dylanwho and is inspired by Game Of Thrones. $1 from one of these shirts sold will go to the Best Friends Animal Society, a wonderful animal charity (one that I have been regularly supporting for years).
The sale began at Teefury today, Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site for $11 anymore, though it will continue into the next day for $14 (look for the After Hours bar at the top).
For the holidays, we here at Geeks of Doom like to sponsor an animal in need, like Mr. Kitty the Bat for Halloween and Elizabeth the Turkey the Turkey for Thanksgiving.
This year for the Christmas season, in lieu of sponsoring one animal, we decided to make a general donation to the Best Friends Animal Society, which runs an animal-adoption shelter and also has a wonderful animal sanctuary for those animals who are not eligible for adoption. With so many homeless pets out there in need of loving families, we thought we’d help shine a light on some of the animals who can be adopted, like Buddy, who most likely used to be a big-time stuntman in Los Angeles, and Georgia, one of the pit bulls found living on the property of Michael Vick.
Watch the adorable video here below of some of the animals at BFAS dressed up in their holiday best.
