In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Batman and the upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC Entertainment has created a montage wall at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con featuring pictures old and new of the Dark Knight.

On said wall there now exists a brand new one photo revealed specifically for this event. It’s a profile shot of Ben Affleck from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the newest incarnation of the classic cowl we all know and love. The matte black of the mask and the unshaven chin give this Caped Crusader a very grisly look, reminiscent of some of Frank Miller’s darker renderings. Looking a bit worn around the edges, I’m beginning to think Affleck might do well in his role. Time will tell. No doubt there will be more movie news as SDCC 2014 continues. As it is every year, San Diego Comic-Con is the perfect venue to showcase any new ventures that Hollywood might have to offer. Case in point: the Batman cowl that Ben Affleck is set to don for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Caped Crusader, fans from all over are being given the chance to see Batman’s new cape and cowl on the convention floor at SDCC before the movie releases. Word has it that this was a surprise for everyone, including DC Comics publishers!
