Video Game Deal: 50% Off ‘Dragon Age II’

Amazon today is currently running a sale on the video game Dragon Age II for Xbox 360 for only $19.99 (that’s 50% off the list price of $39.99)

Dragon Age II is a single player role-playing game (RPG) for play on the PC. Epic sequel to the BioWare developed 2009 Game of the Year, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II continues the adventure with a new hero, Hawke, and utilizes the choices made by the player to affect a story that spans ten years worth of time in-game. Additional game features include: the ability to choose your character’s class and sex, a new cinematic in-game experience, a nonlinear narrative and the ability to import saved information from earlier Dragon Age games.

BioWare Aiming To Combine The Best Of Two Worlds For ‘Dragon Age 3’

If there’s one thing that Mass Effect and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game studio BioWare doesn’t get enough credit for, it’s taking what their fans say to heart, and using that feedback to try and improve future installments of their various franchises.

This commendable effort doesn’t always pay off, however, as was the case with Dragon Age 2, the follow–up to their awesome fantasy title, Dragon Age: Origins. While the game had a lot of positives to offer and was still a solid play, some things were just too distracting to ignore, such as a mind–boggling amount of recycled locations and a combat system that “evolved” from strategic and satisfying to an chaotic mess of button–mashing madness (if you were a warrior, anyway).

When it comes to Dragon Age 3, the game isn’t even officially announced yet, but that’s not stopping BioWare from planning ahead and figuring how to make it the best in the series.

Lightning Deals On Video Games All Day!

Today, online retailer Amazon has a Gold Box full of games. The main Gold Box Deal of the day is Dragon Age II for only 40 bucks for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or PC download. But the awesome doesn’t stop there.

ALL of today’s Lightning Deals will be video games and accessories too, giving you a whole day to order new games to your heart’s content. See the main Lightning Deals page and check the right column to watch as deals pop up all day. The first one, De Blob 2, is already up on sale.

From 9am through 10pm EST (today, Tuesday, March 22, 2011), a new deal will go up every 2-3 hours and only be available for a few hours OR sooner while supplies last — and they sell out fast!

The deals items are not revealed until the second they go on sale, but there is a small hint that’s there. A commenter on the Gold Box deal page thinks he has solved all of Amazon’s riddles and knows what the lightening deals will be. See below.
