The Ice Age franchise is 20th Century Fox’s glistening animated gem. Sure the quality of the story of the film franchise died down after the first installment, but all three animated films have grossed over $200 million, and that is nothing to scoff at. So the studio is having a fourth go-around. Ice Age: Continental Drift hits theaters in less than a month, but we are getting a new look at the crazy antics that Manny, Sid, and Diego get into, and it has an affect on the world. Literally. Check out the trailer below.
In Ice Age: Continental Drift, Scrat – a prehistoric squirrel who fails to claim an acorn on multiple and hilariously near fatal accounts – inadvertently causes the land mass known as Pangaea to split apart. As a result of his actions Manny, Sid, and Diego are separated from their herd, or family of misfit animals.
Simon Pegg is raring up for the release of his next movie, Star Trek, as most fans and people involved with the movie are. But within the chaos of that project, Pegg took the time to inform his fans via his MySpace blog that he would be lending his voice to the next installment in the Ice Age series — Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
Pegg will be playing a one-eyed weasel named Buck, who will apparently be a little out of his mind due to an extended period of time living in solitude.
