PlayStation TV’s first original series, Powers, launches on March 10, and as we get closer to the premiere date, Sony has given us a look behind the scenes of the show. “An Inside Look at Powers: A PlayStation Original Series” runs over seven minutes long, and gives a lot of good background on the series that should get you pumped to watch.
Powers is based on the comics series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, and stars Sharlto Copley (District 9, Chappie) as Detective Christian Walker, a homicide detective who specializes in cases that deal with people with super powers. He is teamed up with a new partner named Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward — The Following, Poltergeist). The series also stars Eddie Izzard (The Riches, Hannibal), Michelle Forbes (Battlestar Galactica, True Blood), Noah Taylor (Almost Famous, Game of Thrones), Olesya Rulin (High School Musical, Greek), and Logan Browning (Bratz, Meet the Browns).
You can watch “An Inside Look at Powers” below and then watch the first episode when it starts on March 10, 2015 and is available exclusively on the PlayStation Network to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

TV rules at this year’s New York Comic-Con with a number of trailers and premieres of various shows, one of which that was shown off was the first trailer for Playstation TV’s first original series, Powers. Watch it here below.
Powers, based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, stars Sharlto Copley (The A-Team, District 9) as Detective Christian Walker, a former superhero turned homicide detective. He is partnered with Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward, recently of The Following), and they team up to investigate crimes that are related to people with powers (thus the title).
With one mini-series in the bag, as well as a run in Dark Horse Presents, Michael Avon Oeming‘s The Victories has already established itself as a fun new superhero series with a unique take on the genre and more of Oeming’s singular art.
Today, Geeks of Doom learned that The Victories is set to return this May as an ongoing series from Dark Horse Comics.
I spoke with Oeming about the series and got a first look at the cover and a preview page from the first issue, which you can check out below after the jump.
