It’s hard to say how fans will truly react to Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. I had mixed feelings about the first trailer, and this new trailer doesn’t sway it in any direction. But in a day and age of reboots, a new take on Jumanji wasn’t a complete surprise.
In the new trailer, we get to see the traditional new footage and some more details on the evolution of the game, which in turn explains its world building. Now, four troublemaking high school students have become trapped in a video game of the same name, where they have become their chosen avatars. If you haven’t seen the first trailer, you get a sense of how these students chose characters that are not like themselves. So there’s that. Oh, and I guess Nick Jonas plays an ace pilot. Check out the full trailer here below.
Filming has begun on Jumanji, the next movie in the fantasy adventure series starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black.
To mark the occasion, The Rock has shared the first image from the movie, with the cast in full costume standing in the jungle. Johnson has said that the movie is more of a continuation of the story told in the original 1995 movie starring Robin Williams than a remake, and judging by the image it looks like at least part of the movie will be taking us to the other side of the mysterious board game.
Minor insignificant spoilers follow. But spoilers are spoilers no matter now big or small.
During the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is forced to seek refugee in a secluded cabin in New Hampshire. Far away from any sort of communication, Walter finds out that he only has two forms of film entertainment: two copies of Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. So really, it’s one form. The owner (Robert Forster) of the cabin says that he is not much of a movie guy.
