New Writer & Director Lined Up For ‘The Crow’ Remake
  |  @   |

Now that the lawsuit between Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company regarding the distribution rights to the planned remake of The Crow has been settled, movement on the project is being fast forwarded.

In a matter of about an hour earlier today, it was reported that a new writer and a new director had been chosen to remake The Crow. Relativity has chosen F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall, The Monkey’s Paw) to direct, and Jesse Wigutow (Irreparable Harm, The Osterman Weekend) to write the script.

At this point it feels like there’s been about 30 different writers and directors involved in remaking the movie, so it’s anyone’s guess whether this will be the duo to actually make it (or if that even matters to the few who were excited about this project considering how unknown the two are).

But because the aforementioned lawsuit has now been settled, and judging by how fast this news came about after, it’s safe to assume that this is the team that will ultimately remake The Crow, an official star will be announced very soon, and things will kick into full gear faster than most of you wished it would.
