4. Shallow Hal (2001)
Considering the fact that this film is over-the-top demeaning to not only full-figured women, but to all women in general, I felt it needed a little bit of a twist. Enjoy the new plot below:
Hal (Jack Black) is obsessed with a “perfect” ideal of feminine beauty. Subsequently, he is passed up for a big promotion at work and he is distraught. After getting stuck in an elevator with life coach Tony Robbins, Hal is hypnotized into seeing women outwardly for their inner hearts. Soon thereafter, Hal meets the president of the company’s daughter, Rosemary (Gwyneth Paltrow), and quickly falls in love. What he doesn’t know is that she is actually a member of the living dead. Together, they enjoy each other’s company while taking walks, canoe rides, and sitting in the park. But what will happen when Hal’s hypnosis wears off? Will he still love Rosemary even though her flesh is rotting off of her face? Will he still want to hold her close when she is clawing at his body like a ravenous dog? Will he still find her sexy in his dress shirt when her blood is oozing out from every orifice? Only time will tell.
