Breaking Bad’s Los Pollos Hermanos Might Become A Reality
  |

Los Pollos Hermanos, the fictional fried chicken franchise with restaurants up and down the West Coast, most notably in Albuquerque, NM, which really acts as just a front for crystal meth trafficking for criminal kingpin Gus Fring on the program Breaking Bad, just might become a real thing.

Vince Gilligan, the creator and key figure behind the storied program, which ended its run in late Summer of 2013 after a dazzling six seasons, which netted universal acclaim, success, and a cachet of high profile awards, mentioned on Reddit that there was talk of “Los Pollos Hermanos becoming a real restaurant.” He also vaguely added that a businessman had contacted him who had an “interest” in bringing the franchise to reality.

Comments lit up on Reddit once the news was posted, and ideas such as ice cream with blue pop rocks sprinkled on top (to resemble the distinctive blue meth that is produced on the show), having someone always in the restaurant eating alone who resembles the main protagonist of Breaking Bad, Walter White (Los Pollos Hermanos is where Walter White first fatefully met Gus Fring), and bad puns like Heisenburgers and Onion Frings, abounded.

AMC’s Breaking Bad remains one of the greatest television programs that has even been produced for the small screen. Bizarrely in a way, it also somehow remains big in the merchandising department, as everything from shot glasses to Heisenberg Hats, T-shirts, action figures, posters, and mugs still sell well and have become engrained in the popular culture to an extent, hence why an idea like bringing to life Los Pollos Hermanos could have, in a very short time, everyone “saying its name” coast-to-coast.
