‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ Teaser: “Time To Fall Back”
  |  @   |

This accursed Daylights Savings Time is still something I can’t quite comprehend. Nevertheless, Disney has taken this biannual event to help promote Alice Through The Looking Glass, which is quite fitting since the White Rabbit makes it a point to always be on time, and who knows how his day would go if he didn’t set his clock an hour back.

So now Disney has released the teaser for the Alice Through The Looking Glass trailer. Check it out here below.

Here’s your first look at the Alice In Wonderland sequel courtesy of a tweet that the studio posted.

It doesn’t give us a whole lot to go on. We just see Alice (Mia Wasikowska) wearing a wacky colored dress as she steps through an open door, only to find herself falling from the sky. How she came to find this door or where that colorful dress is still unknown.

We didn’t get to see much footage from the D23 Expo that was held earlier this year, so we don’t know much about the film. Here’s what we do know: Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter. During the panel we also learned that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is acting strange, well stranger than usual. The film will see two new additions to the cast. Sacha Baron Cohen will play Time, one of the film’s antagonists, while Rhys Ifans joined the cast to play Zanik Hightopp, the Mad Hatter’s father.

Returning cast members include Anne Hathaway as the White Queen – Mirana, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen – Iracebeth, Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Voice performances will include the return of Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Toby Jones as Wilkins, Alan Rickman as Blue Caterpillar, Michael Sheen as White Rabbit, Paul Whitehouse as the March Hare, and Timothy Spall as Bayard.

The film is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets) with a screenplay by Linda Woolverton (Maleficent, Alice In Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast). Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd, Jennifer Todd, and Tim Burton will produce, while John G. Scotti is the executive producer.

Disney did a similar campaign where they released a snippet of a trailer for The Jungle Book, only to release the full trailer that same week. Although it is not clear if the studio will pull off the same marketing maaneuver, one thing is for sure, if they were to release a trailer soon, there are plenty of blockbuster films to attach to in theaters: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, Spectre, The Peanuts Movie, and The Good Dinosaur just to name a few. We will post the full trailer as soon as it goes up.

Alice Through the Looking Glass arrives on May 27, 2016.

UPDATE: Just as we went live with this post, Disney tweeted another very short teaser video:
