“Heroes, it’s an old-fashioned notion.” That’s a quote from Nick Fury said in The Avengers, when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were at their lowest. Defeated, they eventually rallied together to defeat a common enemy when the people of Earth needed it. Little did these heroes know, the Earth and the entire universe would need them again. Needless to say, all roads lead to Avengers: Endgame.
The latest special look video takes a look back at 21 films, 11 years, and 11 franchises that make up the grand mosaic that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plus, the Russo brothers have a very special message to those who are tempted to spoil one of the biggest superhero films in history. Check out the latest special look video below.
Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, also known as the Russo brothers, have been a part for the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2014, when they directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Their unique take on the superhero genre with an added political thriller vibe was so much of a success that they were brought in to oversee Captain America: Civil War, a smaller scale ensemble that brought in other heroes together to fight amongst themselves. They eventually went on to direct the final two Avengers films, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the latter of which hits theaters later this month.
Geeks of Doom was invited to participate in the global press conference for Avengers: Endgame, where the Russo brothers talked about the upcoming and possibly final Avengers film, their approach to making films, and more. Check out what they had to say below.
Marvel Studios has been keeping some of the bigger plot details of Avengers: Endgame a secret for the better part of the past year. It’s a formula that has worked out for them as no one will expect to see some of the major surprises. Though many have their suspicions on what will happen in the sequel, no one but those close to the film and its production knows what will happen.
During the global press conference for Endgame, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Ronin), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Danai Gurira (Okoye), and Don Cheadle (War Machine) all opened up about what it was like play these iconic characters and moving on after being a part of a 10-year narrative. Others shared their thoughts on starting this new journey. Check out what they had to say below.
We are just a few weeks away from the release of Avengers: Endgame, one of the most highly anticipated superhero films of the year. Needless to say, after the events of Avengers: Infinity War everyone is on edge. Nearly half of the heroes have been turned into dust with a simple snap of Thanos’ fingers. Of course, he had some help with the Infinity Stones. Now the Avengers want revenge. And they will have some added help from a mostly absent Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). But she has a very good explanation for that. Check out what the Avengers’ plan of attack will be and if they can survive Thanos’ brutality in a newly released clip, which you can watch below.
There’s a little superhero movie coming out at the end of the month, you might of heard of it? It’s called Avengers: Endgame. Tickets went up this morning for pre-sale and if you know a little something about this upcoming Marvel sequel, then you won’t be surprised to learn that the rush for tickets crashed sites like Fandango and AMC. But it looks like things are up and running again, so don’t give up!
In the meantime, you have 24 days to catch up, if necessary, with the 22 existing movies of the MCU before the theatrical release of Avengers: Endgame on April 26, 2019. (That’s about a movie a day, totally doable!) But, if you are all caught up, you can check out this “special look” trailer that Marvel released today, which contains some pretty cool footage. Check it out here below.
