Billy Bob Thornton is returning for Bad Santa 2, the long-awaited sequel to 2003’s black comedy Bad Santa, and now we’re getting the first look at the upcoming film from Broad Green Pictures.

Bad Santa is the dark comedy that’s just perfect to show to friends and family during the Christmas holiday. Billy Bob Thornton, the film’s lead star, has been aching to get back and reprise his role for a sequel, and it looks like Santa will give him his Christmas gift early this year.

It’s being reported that Hot Tub Time Machine director Steve Pink is in talks to write and direct Bad Santa 2.

After recording the Christmas Movies episode of Flix of Doom earlier this month, I found out that my mother’s favorite Christmas movie is Bad Santa. Yes, the movie starring Billy Bob Thornton.

Am I little bit disturbed by this? Sure, but hey, plenty of people have told me it’s a cool movie, so I guess I’d better get around to checking it out soon.

Apparently, Mama’s not the only fan of Bad Santa. The folks over at LocateTV have created a fun Christmas-themed infographic called “Bad Santa” which has some behind-the-scenes trivia of on some of the most popular Christmas films, including Bad Santa, It’s A Wonderful Life, Elf, and more.
