So this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International is in full swing and everyone is excited to geek out over whatever they geek out over. While most people were on the convention floor during Wednesday’s preview night getting an early read on the event, Geeks Of Doom was invited to explore the Con’s interactive Game Of Thrones exhibit, The Hall Of Faces.
For those that don’t know, in HBO’s Game Of Thrones, there is a place in Braavos called the House of Black and White, and in it you can find a place appropriately called The Hall Of Faces, which houses the skinned faces of the dead. These faces are then worn by those who want to blend into the crowd so they can perform whatever deed needs to be done, namely assassinations.
We were able to get an early look at what is going on inside SDCC’s Hall of Faces. Check out our photos here below.
In all areas of the consumer world, money rules supreme. And no company knows that more than DC Entertainment. With live-action film after live-action film being panned by critics and fans alike, the Warner Bros. subsidiary has decided to create an entirely new way of bringing their iconic superheroes to life.
To be more precise, DC announced today that they have teamed up with Funko to create several amazing new lines of Pop! figures that will be used first and foremost to recreate their previous live-action movies as stop-motion animated films.
In honor of the 30-year anniversary of Ghostbusters, we’ll see the film’s return to theaters today for one-week-only, as well as an upcoming Blu-ray containing digitally restored editions of the film and its sequel packaged together in a DigiPak.
Funko Pop! has a bunch of Ghostbusters vinyl figures that I wanted to point out (and by point out, I mean, by for myself), including the insanely adorable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!!! (Want, need, must-have!), Winston with the Ecto 1, a Battle Damaged Stay Puft, and a special limited edition 30th anniversary set.
