So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD): Top 6 + Elimination
  |  @   |

So You Think You Can Dance is almost done for the season, and I will be so sad to see it go. Luckily, I already have my tickets for the Season 12 tour, which takes the Top 10 (plus numbers 11 and 12 as alternates), and performs the best routines of the season. There’s only two episodes left – a performance finale and a results finale, which always promises a good time. It’s often the best episode of the season as finales should be. The winner’s prize is a spot in Jlo’s Las Vegas show. I’m sure judges Nigel Lythgoe, Jason Derulo, and Paula Abdul, as well as host Cat Deeley, are just as anxious as I am to see who is crowned “America’s Favorite Dancer.”

So let’s go!

SYTYCD: Top 8 Perform + Elimination
  |  @   |

So You Think You Can Dance last night featured our Top 8. We are slowly closing in on “America’s Favorite Dancer,” whom we learned last week earns a spot in JLo’s show in Las Vegas! The All-Stars are now on the show, and they bring that extra element of professionalism to an already dynamic show. Some are back this week, as well as a few new ones. My favorite choreographer is back, and Tyce Diorio is not my favorite because he went to my elementary school, and was already a popular kid. His routines are always unique and beautiful, and his personality as a guest judge over the years was just icing. That’s what I miss about this season, as much as I love judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul, and Jason Derulo. They can add a 4th guest judge, no? Host Cat Deeley, gorgeous as ever, led the festivities, and let us know that tickets are on sale now to the SYTYCD live tour (I have been to a few – always a party, and I already have my tickets), at Ticketmaster.com, or on FOX.com.

Watch the SYTYCD performances and the breathtaking image gallery below. Results are at the bottom, so spoiler alert!

SYTYCD: Top 10 Perform + Elimination

It’s my favorite part of So You Think You Can Dance! The last few seasons, when it has been time for the Top 10, we were treated to routines partnered with All-Stars! And Monday night’s All-Stars are some of my favorites! Host Cat Deeley is always as excited as I am (okay maybe a little more since she knows them). I bet it’s judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul, and Jason Derulo‘s favorite part too. And the opening number from Sonya Tayeh, one of the best choreographers on the planet, was unbelievable. It was almost surreal, it was THAT good.

There’s good news and sad news and fun news. Get all that, plus the performances and the lovely image gallery below. Results are there too, so spoiler alert!

SYTYCD: Top 14 Perform + Elimination, Top 10 Reveal!
  |  @   |

Lots of juicy stuff on SYTYCD tonight! The Top 14 dancers leapt, twirled, and popped and locked their hearts out, but at the end of the day, people have to get sent home. America has spoken, and after we make a few little comments on the performances, your Top 10 will be presented. Host Cat Deeley looked lovely as usual (and I want that dress), and judges Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul, and Jason Derulo had the enviable job of enjoying and critiquing the routines.

The SYTYCD Top 10 is revealed below, as well as the gorgeous image gallery from last night’s show. Do not continue if you are not ready to know.

SYTYCD Highlights: “Top 16 Perform + Elimination”
  |  @   |

I have to say… this episode of SYTYCD was worthy of an all-star show. The choreography, execution, and emotion were one delight after the other. Last week we lost Burim and Moises, and the teams are a bit girl-heavy at the moment. Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Jason Derulo, and Paula Abdul received the opportunity once again to save one dancer from Travis Wall‘s Team Stage, and one dancer from Stephen “tWitch” Boss‘s Team Street. Audience members also saved two dancers via live Twitter voting.

Before I continue with the SYTYCD commentary, Spoiler alert! The 2 dancers eliminated are announced at the end of this! Watch all the highlight videos, and the check out the incredible image gallery below.
