‘The Purge’ TV Show Trailer: Let The Survival Games Begin

The Purge has gone on three bloody rampages in the past decade, all the while teaching us a valuable lesson about the disenfranchised. And with a prequel set for release, you’d think we learn what we needed to know. In a dystopian American future – not too far from our own – an annual national civic tradition called “The Purge.” For 12 hours each year all crime is legal, including murder.

When a tribe of cannibalistic cave dwellers kidnaps settlers from the town of Bright Hope, a team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell), sets out to bring them home. Accompanying the sheriff are “backup deputy” Chicory (Richard Jenkins), haughty Indian-hunter Brooder (Matthew Fox), and Arthur O’Dwyer (Patrick Wilson), whose wife (Lili Simmons) was abducted in the raid.

Ron Perlman Becomes A Goblin In ‘Harry Potter’ Spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts’

Production is currently underway for the first Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Set 70s years before the events of Harry Potter, in the 1920s, Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, the wizarding magizoologist who is in New York documenting numerous magical creatures. His discoveries would eventually become “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” a textbook that would be used as required reading in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Now, the spinoff has just added Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) to the cast as a goblin. More on the role in the report below.

Trailer For Horror Western ‘Bone Tomahawk’ Starring Kurt Russell

A trailer was released recently for a movie titled Bone Tomahawk, which is all you really need to know because that’s a pretty bad ass title.

If you require more than just a title, the movie is a horror western about a band of gunslingers from a small town who set out on a mission to rescue captives from the cannibals that kidnapped them. It stars Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins, Lili Simmons, David Arquette, Sid Haig, and Sean Young.

Harry Potter Spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ Starts Production

The main Harry Potter story may be over, but the franchise continues to live on through spinoffs. Making her screenwriting debut, author J.K. Rowling has penned Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, an all-new adventure set in her Harry Potter universe. Long-time Harry Potter director David Yates will helm the spinoff.

Today marks the beginning of principal photography. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) stars as Newt Scamander, the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist, who stops in New York following his travels to find and document magical creatures. More on this story below.
