The Purge has gone on three bloody rampages in the past decade, all the while teaching us a valuable lesson about the disenfranchised. HBO has officially decided to give one of their new series, The Leftovers, a second season.

The show comes from LOST co-creator and co-showrunner Damon Lindelof, and is based on the book by Tom Perrotta. It follows people trying to move on after a Rapture-like event sees almost 200 million people disappearing without a trace.
