During E3 2018 we saw a new cinematic trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2. But that’s not all Ubisoft brought to the convention.
Also shown behind closed doors at E3 was a pre-Alpha gameplay demo. Now Ubisoft is offering everyone a peek at the demo that was shown. They’ve released a condensed gameplay update video, which shares glimpses of the action which was shown in the E3 demo, and also did a livestream sharing much more gameplay action.
You can find more info on Beyond Good and Evil 2 and check out the gameplay videos below.
Ubisoft has released the latest video update for Beyond Good and Evil 2, the long-awaited follow-up to 2003’s Beyond Good and Evil.
The video shares new gameplay footage, including some of the various ways to navigate the world (on foot, by jetpack, in a ship) and some peeks at combat. You can find this new video below, along with a second previously released video in case you missed it and more info on the game.
Perhaps the best moment of E3 2017 came after the reveal of the latest trailer for the long-awaited sequel Beyond Good and Evil 2—which was itself one of the best things we saw out of this year’s E3 convention.
After the trailer was shown Michel Ancel, the creator and director of the incredible 2003 original (as well as the creator of the Rayman series), walked out to the stage accompanied by narrative director Gabrielle Shrager. Ancel has been fighting to make this game for so long (over a decade now—parts of it have been built in the past, we’ve seen trailers for it before, but it has struggled to find life), and once the new trailer had been debuted and he came out to the applauding crowd, emotions overtook him. You could see quite clearly how much it all meant to him.
Since that time, more goodies related to the game have been released, including our first peek at early gameplay and more info from those hard at work on building it. You can see the video of Ancel’s emotional appearance as well as the gameplay video and more below.
A sequel to the classic 2003 action-adventure game Beyond Good & Evil has been in the works for…well, a long time now. So long that most fans simply roll their eyes at yet another promise of something that will likely never come.
But however unlikely Beyond Good & Evil 2 might seem, talk of a new game has arrived once again. And from an important source. Michel Ancel, designer of the original game, says the sequel is in pre-production once again. He also released a bit of concept art, which can be seen below.
