The marketing campaign for Kong: Skull Island has been unusually quiet. But perhaps that is the quiet before the storm.
After teasing us with the first image and some footage at SDCC and dropping a few hints at an inevitable clash between himself and Godzilla, Warner Bros. has released our first look at the iconic ape for a new generation. Check it out below.
Ahead of the panel scheduled to be held on Saturday at 12:30 pm in the San Diego Comic-Con’s fabled Hall H, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have unveiled the first poster for their upcoming giant monster movie spectacle Kong: Skull Island.
You can check out the poster here below.
Last week, the first image from Kong was revealed. Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts and stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and John Goodman are expected to be in attendance for the Saturday panel.
Skull Island: Reign of Kong, a King Kong-themed attraction, opened today at the Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL.
The new attraction, which is located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park, allows park attendees to board a massive 40-foot-long, 17-ton expedition vehicle that reportedly navigates an “increasingly foreboding terrain” of Skull Island, home to the legendary King Kong, who also makes an appearance on the ride.
Check out the photos from the new attraction, along with video from its opening day, here below.
The plot details of Kong: Skull Island have been kept under wraps since the cast has been coming together. We do know that the film stars an eclectic and exciting roster that is made up of Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Corey Hawkins, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, John C. Reilly, and Jason Mitchell.
But as there are new reports that John Goodman is also joining the cast of the film, new plot details are emerging, and it tells us something very different than what was previously reported. More on the story below.
