‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops III’ Teaser Trailer Released
  |  @   |

The next entry in the Call of Duty first person shooter franchise has been revealed, and seeing as how it’s Treyarch’s turn in the now three-developer rotation, it should come as no great shock to fans of the series that it is Black Ops III.

Nothing is known of the game yet and the trailer doesn’t show much—it’s mostly just voice over clips for the most part—but it does come with the promise of a worldwide reveal later this month on April 26th.

You can check out the teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops III below if you wish to.

‘Call Of Duty’ Franchise Moves To Three-Year Cycle
  |  @   |

For the past handful of years, the Call of Duty franchise has alternated their yearly game titles between developers Infinity Ward (Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Ghosts) and Treyarch (Call of Duty 3, World At War, Black Ops, Black Ops II).

Publisher Activision has decided to change this up now, switching to a three-year cycle. This will begin later this year with the first entry in the series developed by Sledgehammer Games. Adding a third developer will allow each of the three a third year to make the best game they can instead of the two years Treyarch—whose next game will be released in 2015—and Infinity Ward—whose next game will be released in 2016—have been working with.

Game Review: Call Of Duty: Black Ops II

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Xbox 360| PS3 | PC | Wii U
PUBLISHER: Activision
RELEASE DATE: November 13, 2012

Releasing a new title in a video game franchise every year is no easy task, and with it comes something of a curse. While fans of the games eat up each annual installment, most others eventually get bored and yearn for something more fresh and original, as was the case, for a recent example, with both the Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty franchises.

Due to this, we saw both series look to refresh their respective franchises this year. Assassin’s Creed III ran away from the historical Italian setting of its previous three installments and relocated to the United States during the American Revolution. It’s still basically the same thing we’ve seen released by Ubisoft the past four years or so, but the setting change has clearly been appreciated and the game has gotten generally positive reviews. As for Call of Duty, developer Treyarch had the tricky task of revitalizing the franchise with their own sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Nuketown Multiplayer Map To Return In ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2’ … With A Catch
  |  @   |

If you’ve played a lot of multiplayer games on Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, no doubt you’ve jumped at the opportunity to play your matches within the smallest map, Nuketown.

The map consisted of only two model homes, their back yards, and the street between them. The map allowed players to wage all-out war in a constricted area, leading to some of the more memorable battles you could take part in.

Now it looks like Nuketown will return in Treyarch’s upcoming sequel to the game, Black Ops II. But in order to get the map, it looks like you’ll have to pre-order the game.
