The concept of adapting a harmless game into a film is nothing new. In fact, it has been done many times before, though its success can be met with varying degrees. That being said, we have reached a new level of low now that we are going for schoolyard games. Blumhouse’s Truth Or Dare tries to mirror the same success of Ouija using the production house’s low-budget formula. And try as the film might, it never reaches those same levels of fright. It desperately tries to scare its audience with the thought of this game haunting us that through its bad dialogue it becomes an unintentional comedy. Not really sure if that is what director Jeff Wadlow intended. But the film lands in between that gray area of its so good that it’s bad but at the same time it’s just flat-out bad.

Universal Pictures has released an official trailer for Truth or Dare, a new supernatural thriller from Blumhouse.
The movie involves a game of Truth or Dare which has deadly consequences for those who lie or don’t complete the dare they’ve been given. It stars Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars, Scream 4), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf, Scary Movie 5), Landon Liboiron (Hemlock Grove, Terra Nova), Violett Beane (The Flash, The Leftovers), Nolan Gerard Funk (House at the End of the Street, Riddick), Hayden Szeto (The Edge of Seventeen), and Sophia Taylor Ali (Grey’s Anatomy), and is directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2, Never Back Down).

With Teen Wolf‘s final New York Comic-Con panel in the books, it was a nostalgic and emotional weekend for the fans as well as the cast and crew of the MTV show. A devoted fan of the series myself, I jumped at the chance to sit down with stars Tyler Posey and Holland Roden as well as Executive Producer Jeff Davis (also the creator of Criminal Minds) and hear their perspectives personally. Cast members Linden Ashby, Melissa Ponzio, and Shelley Hennig were also in the room and are included in the photo ops below.

MTV’s Teen Wolf is entering its sixth and final season on Tuesday, November 15 and the cast held a panel today at New York Comic-Con, giving fans a sneak preview. The event, which took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom, featured main cast members Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Linden Ashby, Melissa Ponzio, and executive producer Jeff Davis.
