For the second straight year, I spent a late night at New York Comic-Con watching the Screen Junkies gang. Screen Junkies currently sits at just under 5.7 million YouTube subscribers and is one of the preeminent places on the internet for geek culture. The room at NYCC was PACKED, with people standing in the back and alongside the walls. The site’s two biggest hits are Movie Fights and Honest Trailers. The event was emceed by Screen Junkies founder Andy Signore, and featured Dan Murrell, Spencer Gilbert, comic writer Marc Andreyko, Mark Ellis from Collider, and two fans who were competing against the Junkies in the Movie Fight rounds. The Movie Fights section was held as a one-on-one single elimination tournament and featured really interesting questions, and even better responses and arguments.

Whether you go to their channel for the Honest Trailers, the Movie Fights, or just to enjoy geeks geeking out about movies, Screen Junkies have developed quite the brand on YouTube. With over 5.1 million subscribers, countless shows on their channel, and now the newly expanded Screen Junkies Plus; it was only a matter of time before the crew developed their own original series, and here it is… Interns of F.I.E.L.D.
Check out the entire 1st episode (only 17-minutes!), character descriptions, and synopsis below.
Screen Junkies has over 4.7 million subscribers on YouTube and they’re… just like us: regular guys who love movies, and love even more to sit around talking about them, complaining and mocking them as well. I had the opportunity watch their panel appearance at New York Comic-Con on Friday.
The biggest view-getters from their channel is the Honest Trailers feature, which debut on Tuesdays, and Movie Fights on Fridays. Honest Trailers consists of hilarious 4-6 minute videos where they mock the ins and outs of popular movies with phony trailers that may tell too much truth. Movie Fights features arguments based on random film questions like Indy/Han, DC/Marvel, etc.
