Influenced by the work of seminal horror writer H. P. Lovecraft, In the Mouth of Madness is the third installment in John Carpenter‘s Apocalypse Trilogy, preceded by The Thing and Prince of Darkness. The 1994 film’s title references Lovecraft’s 1936 novella, At the Mountains of Madness, and insanity plays a significant role in both the movie and the novella.
Hints of War for the Planet of the Apesconnecting to the originalPlanet of the Apes have been lingering since trailers for the movie were released. Though these films are a part of the same universe when that bridge closes the gap is still not clear.
However, a newly released trailer seems to indicate that it might be closer than originally thought. That’s because it has footage that has led up to the latest installment, with Charleston Heston himself providing the narration. Check out the latest trailer below.

If I told you I was seeing Planet of the Apes in theaters in 2016, you’d assume I was watching the third film in the new series starring Andy Serkis in motion capture technology as Caesar. Thanks to TCM and their Big Screen Classics promotion, the original 1968 classic is back in theaters for only one more day. It premiered on Sunday, July 24th, at several theaters throughout New York City, and I was there with my entire family, including my 5-year daughter.
Late last year, an intrepid YouTube user going by the handle ChiefBrodyRules (yes, yes, he certainly does) created a fan trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier in the manner of a VHS sneak preview for a 1980’s Cannon Films B-action flick, and it was undeniably awesome.
The Chief’s latest triumph of imagination, ingenuity, and clever video editing skills re-imagines this past summer’s biggest global blockbuster, Jurassic World, as the sort of star-packed, high-concept disaster movie the late Irwin Allen pioneered, with more than a reasonable helping of dark science-fiction.
This is the lowest I’ve ever seen this set! (The last time it was 55% off.) This is a huge Blu-ray box set that comes with tons of bonus features.
Note, this sale is today (April 20) for one day only til midnight PST while supplies last, meaning if they run out before the end of the day, that’s it, the sale is up. So, grab this while you can.
