All Episodes Of ‘Futurama’ Coming To Hulu This Month
  |  @   |

Though it wasn’t listed on the lineup of things coming to and leaving this month, Hulu has a surprise for its subscribers. Coming soon to the streaming service (soon like today) is Futurama. Every single episode, including the four straight-to-video movies which helped to bring the beloved animated series back to life in 2010.

But while the news will no doubt be exciting to some, it’s not at all surprising. Recently many Netflix subscribers—many of whom routinely fell asleep to episodes each night—were outraged to discover that they would not be renewing their contract with FOX, meaning many shows including Futurama would be disappearing. It was assumed at the time that the show would end up on Hulu, because FOX is a part owner there and it only made sense. And so here we are.

You can find the full announcement below.

Listen: ‘Futurama’ Radio Play “Radiorama” With Full Voice Cast
  |  @   |

We’ve been seeing quite a bit of Futurama lately, which is wonderful but also a little surprising considering that the show officially ended…yet again…in 2013 when Comedy Central pulled the plug after another run of episodes. First there was that live-action fan film, which didn’t feature the stars of the animated series but was still an impressive accomplishment. Then came word of a new mobile game called Worlds of Tomorrow, which would not only deliver new animation but also reunite the voice cast. Not the new seasons of episodes everyone desperately wishes some network or streaming service will order someday, but it was something to hold us over!

Now comes another Futurama treat. To help promote that very same mobile game, a double episode of the show was produced in collaboration with Nerdist. In order to make this happen, they bypassed all the time and money necessary to animate episodes, and instead made it a radio play featuring the voice cast of the show. Click over to give it a listen. You can also find a bonus behind the scenes video below, which features various members of the voice cast talking about the lasting appeal of Futurama and will no doubt make you wish the show was back even more than you already do.

See Brand New ‘Futurama’ Footage In ‘Worlds Of Tomorrow’ Trailer
  |  @   |

If you’ve been twitching and itching at the extreme lack of new Futurama in your life these days, I have just the thing for you. Booze. Lots of booze. It helps you forget all the evil people who have repeatedly taken the show away from you while other animated series go on and on. Hell, some of those shows are old enough to drink with you.

But that’s not all (Call now and you’ll receive…). Earlier this year we found out about Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow, an upcoming mobile game. Not just any mobile game, though. The original Futurama crew helped with the game, including the voice cast. That means it’s the closest thing to new episodes we currently have to look forward to.

A teaser trailer for Worlds of Tomorrow has been released online. And yes, it features brand new animated footage and voice acting to enjoy, just like we got on the show. Check it out below!
